During the decade 2000\u20132010 he has been employed as a post-doctoral researcher in several research projects in the area of Mathematical System Theory and Computer Aided Control System Design (CACSD). Since 2004, he has also been employed as an Associate Student Advisor at the department of Computer Science of the Hellenic Open University, as visiting assistant professor at the department of Sciences of the Alexander Technological Educational Institution of Thessaloniki (ATEITh) and the department of Mathematics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2008, he was appointed as Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics at the department of Sciences of the ATEITh, and in March 2016 he was promoted to Associate Professor at the department of Information Technology of the ATEITh, which in 2019 merged with the International Hellenic University (IHU). In September 2022 he was promoted to Professor of \u201cNumerical and Symbolic Computational Methods in Mathematical Systems Theory\u201d at the Department of Information and Electronic Engineering of the IHU.
