The IEEE Standards Thessaloniki Summit 2021 is part of a successful series of 5G Summits that have been held since 2015 in America, Asia and Europe, and will contribute to continuous provision of a platform for the industry leaders, innovators, and researchers from the industry and academic community to collaborate and exchange ideas in this emerging technology that may help in driving the standards and rapid deployment. Originally the event was planned to be held at the beautiful city of Thessaloniki, Greece. However, due to the pandemic will be organized virtually on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

The IEEE Standards Thessaloniki Summit 2021 is co-organized by the IEEE Communication Greece Chapter, the Communications, Cybersecurity and IoT Research Group (International Hellenic University), the Technical Committee on Information Infrastructure and Networking (TCIIN) and the IEEE Student Branch IHU – Thessaloniki. The event is co-sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc), the IEEE ComSoc Industry Outreach Board and the IEEE Future Networks (5G) Initiative.
