Spyros Xafis

I am an experienced scientist with excellent communication, critical thinking, negotiation and problem solving skills. In addition, I am self-motivated and a quick learner, with flexibility and adaptability. More specifically, through my work experience, I have solid understanding of Information Security and Data Protection principles, control frameworks, methodologies, industry best practices, legal and regulatory frameworks, such as GDPR, NIS Directive, NIST, ISF, ISO 27001, COBIT, etc. Moreover, I meet professional practice standards, demonstrate value and competence in core service areas, such as Data Loss Prevention, Encryption, Data Classification and Network Security solutions, and ensure that each one of them designed and/or implemented will be completed on time, on budget and will exceed customer expectations. Also, I identify additional opportunities within client organizations and support creation of customer-facing proposals, statement of work, and presentations. Furthermore, my studies gave me a lot of knowledge. In particular, my university knowledge extends from Physics to Computer Science. In my master’s degree in Computer Science, I have specialized in the fields of Networks, Telecommunications, Theoretical Informatics and Network and Computer Security. Correspondingly, in my bachelor’s degree in Physics, I have found myself deeply involved in three fields, Nuclear Physics & Elementary Particles, Medical Physics and Education.
