Leonidas Akritidis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Information and Electronic Engineering of the International Hellenic University. He also belongs to the laboratory staff of the Information Management & Software Engineering Laboratory.
He graduated from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He received a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of Thessaly.
His research interests are focused on the fields of Machine Learning, Data Mining, Information Retrieval and Big Data Technology and Processing. He has published multiple research articles in leading international journals and scientific conferences. Moreover, he has designed and developed a broad collection of scientific and commercial applications and systems. He has contributed to the successful preparation and completion of various research projects with national and international funding.
