Past Visiting Lecturers

Dimitrios Papageorgiou is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Automation and Robotics Lab (ARL) within the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Greece and a visiting lecturer at the department of Information and Electronic Engineering of International Hellenic University. He is a graduate of ECE-AUTH and holds a PhD in control of cooperative robots from the same institution under the supervision of Prof. Z. DOulgeri. His research interests are in the area of physical human-robot interaction, virtual fixtures and dynamical system based motion generation. He has participated in 4 European projects and 1 national projects and he has received two scholarships for PhD and PostDoc research respectively. His teaching experience mainly involve the teaching of the courses: “Robotics” and “Control systems”. He is a co-author of 20+ publications, in journals such as IEEE Transaction on Robotics and Robotics and Computer integrated Manufacturing and conferences, such as IEEE ICRA, IROS and CDC, in the field of Robotics and Automatic Control. He is an IEEE member (Robotics and Automation Society και Control Systems Society) and a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
