He has obtained the Diploma Degree of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Engineering School at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1999.
In 2000 he obtained the MSc in Advanced Computing from Imperial College, University of London.
In 2001 he obtained the MSc in International Management from King’s College, University of London.
Between the years 2003 and 2007 he worked at the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) – Informatics and Telematics Institute (ITI) at the Multimedia Knowledge & Social Media Analytics Laboratory (http://mklab.iti.gr/).
Between the years 2008 and 2010 he worked as Software Engineer at the Region of Thessaly and in parallel as Lab Assistant at the Technological Educational Institute of Larissa at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications in the area of programming.
Since 2010 he has been working at the Decentralised Administration of Macedonia – Thrace as Head of the Department of Regional Systems Support at the Directorate of Informatics & Communications.
His main research topic are the Semantic Web Technologies and their application n multimedia content analysis, as well as the development of personalization systems in mobile telephony. More specifically, his research interests include knowledge-based analysis and search of multimedia content, ontologies, reasoning, distributed knowledge bases and ontological knowledge representation languages.
