I was born in 1960 and I have received my Bachelor degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and my M.Sc. Degree in Applied Acoustics from the University of London. In 1994 I received my Ph.D. in Acoustics from the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During my Ph.D. studies I was awarded a scholarship from the Polytechnic school.

Since 1986 I have been teaching various courses on Analog and Digital Electronics, Electric Circuits, Sound Systems, Mass Media Technology and Audio Visual Production. I have also taught in postgraduate study programs.

I have been Head of the Electronics Department for two terms and President of the Department of Electronic Engineering T.E. from September 2013 to August 2014. In 2014 and 2018 I was elected Dean of the School of Technological Applications.

I have participated in studies and research projects on the design of electro-acoustic systems, room acoustics, environmental noise etc.

My research work is focused on Environmental Noise, Acoustics and Audio Visual systems and has been published in International and Greek journals and presented in relevant Conferences.
